St. Joseph's/Candler is Hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor Near Savannah, GA
- Position Summary
- Ensure the continuing flow of credit to SJC from suppliers and other vendors. Facilitate the timely transfer of funds from SJC bank accounts to such suppliers at the correct amount at the last possible moment, recording such transfers in the appropriate GL accounts. Revise processes and practices to improve the productivity to the department by eliminating non value added work and substituting higher value added work. Facilitate the evaluation, purchase and implementation of software products which can eliminate tasks which can be performed with higher quality at a lower cost. Other responsibilities include the preparation of any financial and/or operating reports required.

- Manages relationships with key co-workers related to AP systems and related interfaces. Appropriately manages the electronic processing of invoices and payments.
- Keeps up with start and stop dates, ensures vendors are paid the right amount, coded correctly and paid.
- Sets up new vendors with appropriate payment terms. Provides maintenance to those payment terms as appropriate so that vendors are not paid too quickly nor too late.
- Performs annual evaluations timely and effectively, reward good performance and bring attention to inadequate performance. Analyze work load and redistribute as appropriate. Aids in the elimination of waste connected to the AP function.
